Are you looking to keep both trucks, or make one good one out of two, and sell the difference. If you want to keep both, nothing wrong with driving the 77 with 67 motor so you have a driver. You can always put it back in the 67 later after you fix it up the way you want.

I would think you could sell a rust free 77 cab with no back fees /non-op for $300 to re-coop your losses.

I THINK, if you go to DMV and make a payment on the 67, it will freeze the back fees for one year so they dont go up again(and it buys you time to pay off the $600).
