There are 'soft', progressive linkage dominators, and the all out straight 1:1 linkage (meaning the primary and secondary open equally at the same time via a 'gear' not exactly linkage)

I ran a 383 on the street with a custom Prosystems 1050 dominator (soft linkage) and it was a dream to drive around town.

A dominator is basically two 500cfm 2bbls married together in one body. With a 'soft' linkage setup you would would be opening only the primaries of each carb until about 1/3 throttle. It would be pretty tame for that many cubes I would think.

If the carbs are the straight 1:1 linkage,, Ha,, good luck!!!
