One thing I noticed in my swap was if it was shifting quite a bit, (we have hills and I have a heavy foot), the temp would climb pretty quick and it seems 700R4s dont like any heat at all, or atleast mine doesnt anyways. So you could run a tranny temp gauge if you are worried and can always add an auxilary cooler later. And yes a good pressure test on the radiator wouldnt hurt since ANY amount of moisture will kill an automatic.
