Clyde is right on the money! salvage yards are FULL of 1/2 ton 73-87 trucks that came stock with disc brakes ... ball joint and tie rod change and bada-boom, bada-bing you got disc brakes.
search around on the board ... many many posts on here on how to do the swap
remember, cheap is not always best.
