Depending on what type of center support bearing you use, they can give up the ghost rather quickly. Where did it fail? Before I went with a one piece driveshaft, mine always failed in the metal housing that surrounds the bearing. I've seen guys add a couple of extra tac welds to the metal surround prior to installation, which seems to help with longevity. Also, bearings from a driveline shop are typically of higher quality than the part you will receive from a chain parts store. There was a thread on the board not too long ago discussing whether or not the bearing from CPP was worth the extra money, and the general consensus seemed to be that it was worth the money.
