Well ok - I had it installed 2 days ago and it was fine. I have also ridden in the back of a 2001 from Memphis to Houma La. for Katrina support. It was 7 hours and I chose to ride in the back on the way home too. Maybe an 89 is a tighter fit???. Also my crew cab is longer inside than the 2002 donor vehicle the seats come from.
