If you ask me, I would buy the motor/trans and sit on them for a little bit, slowly buying parts and pieces along with knowledge. I agree with someone b4 me, dont borrow money to do the swap, just do it part by part, Harnalien has done that and I bet it makes the lil add ons a little easier to take.
