Couldn't say why it was more, just was. Rebuild kit from northern auto was about double the price, flexplate was about 30% more, had to pay shipping for some parts I had to special order cause no one out here has anything that is 400 specific. I'm maybe not double, since the head work would have been the same, but overall I'm a lot more into it than a 350. Less than a 383 though, I'm sure.
