Looks great and good job doing it yourself. I was once told if you are going to drive a classic you should know how to wrench it yourself. You've taken that to the max!
If you had all of the parts (heater switches, wiring harness, seats) from GM this would be that easy. You could hook up power, and be ready to go.
I purchased 2001 powered, heated seats on e-bay, but did not have the other goodies needed to hook up the seat heaters.
Since I was recovering the seats, I just added aftermarket seat heaters. They are plug and play. come with the switches, relays. You just need to provide power and ground.
I went to the trouble to cut, and install them identically to the stock seat heater location. I have tested them, and it sure will feel good to sit on a warm leather seat on cold Idaho mornings.
Thanks for the encouragement. I love to turn a wrench. Really wanted to do my own build. I would encourage all of you truck enthusiasts to do the same. Most of these things are actually not more than just not being afraid to try, and with the money you save by doing things yourself you can afford to do them several times to get it right.
