A little something as promised. Lining up the moldings is pretty hard even with the factory manual. The lower moldings were already drilled on the front and cab. The upper moldings were already drilled on the bed. The lower moldings on the bed will be easy because they follow the body line. The uppers on the doors can be located because of the cut out for the lock cylinder. Whatever height off the body line on the rear edge of the door is what you can use for the front according to the manual. The manual is confusing because it doesn't give measurements referencing the body line, it measures from under the rocker; which on my truck is very uneven. The pinch weld was never designed to be perfectly level. The front of the door could be used for the rear edge of the fender measurement, but from there the body line reference goes away. I am too afraid to drill out for the top molding on the fender for fear of having the molding rising or falling in relation to the rest of it. I am going to have to have it all assembled and then place the upper fender molding to make sure it will be straight. If I can't drill for the upper molding, I can't paint my white stripe because the end of the molding is short on the front and the paint line shows for the first inch. It has to line up with the tip of the molding to look right. So..... I will have to have the truck almost finished before I can paint the fenders white. I will be able to go ahead and paint the white everywhere else.
