I'd like to move my hoist to within 24" of the cab, and that also puts it where manufacturers are now installing new units. Just nervous about moving it
. Mine uses a pipe through the main bed rails to secure it to the hoist. I'd have to patch the previous holes as well. Anyway, something to consider I guess.
