I have the same sitch with my truck. It has a wider rear from a (whatever) under it, and it has lift blocks between the springs and axle. I'd like to take them out and lower the back, but then the tires would hit the fenders. Not sure if they were stock with the rear axle, but they make the 31" tires fit.
