Well i was stationed in San Diego, and my C10 (which picked up its name around this time due to the Flowmaster 40 series and turn downs coming right off the headers. The truck sounded Nasty, the rest of the truck
was nasty, so the name fit) was still located in Kentucky and in the hands of my father, who just so happened to restore 67-72 chevy trucks...
One thing about me is I HATE sitting in other people's filth. Whether its a dirty house, dirty clothes, or dirty vehicle. It disgusts me. So, as you can tell from the pics above, the interior was nasty. The truck was owned by a 17 year old, so i can only imagine what all was soiled into the carpet, door panels, and most importantly... The seat.
$800.00 bucks later, interior was redone. Just a cheap carpet kit off fleabay, and a split back bench seat and the stock door panels were redone by a close friend of mine. All the steel was painted with the same red as the wheels
The outside got a refresher as well with a black basecoat, some wicked pinstriping, and a billet insert. The center beam in the 69/70 grille was cut out to make room for the billet
