Personally, I would ditch the pusher fan. Even with the best shrouds, they arnt as effective as a puller fan. Thats why almost every OEM electric fan setup is a puller.
Swap the fan around to the engine side, run the overflow in some of the "dead" area next to the radiator in/around the fenders, and you'll have enough room infront of the radiator to run both a trans cooler, oil cooler and an AC condenser.. if you wanted.

if thats really not an option, theres the under truck route.. but is this on-road only, or does it see offroad.
if its lowered and on road only mount the cooler on a slight angle low, and use an air dam and side shroud to direct air through the cooler... if its offroad at all, or if the truck is near stock height, you'll just have to mount it higher and rely solely on the fan to do its job. in anycase, if its not up front i would run a trans temp gauge... you really need to keep an eye on transmission temps with an air only (no coolant cooler) setup.
