Thanks everyone. I think you are right Mr Dude. Sometimes, in order to go forward, you gotta go back. I was so bent on making this work that I overlooked the need to just trim the shroud so that I could run the (puller) fan and shroud on the engine side of the rad.

I'll trim the shroud this weekend and re-install. Now I'll have room for the trans cooler and future AC components.
