don't use anything on the temp sensor, it should be brass and will seal on its own with proper tightening. anything on the threads can cause connection issues as the sensor case/threads serve as the sensors ground.

for the head bolts use permatex #2 sealant, we've used it for years and haven't had a problem. Be sure to clean all the threads and torque to the proper setting and in the right sequence.

For the lifters, Yellows right, if you didn't change the cam leave them be, they will be fine.
