Just wanted to add to this, that while the lokar i am sure works great, there is a good chance your current cable is just done for. And even if you go for the lokar, I figured it won't hurt to have my advice for anyone searching in the future.

I just went thru this on my suburban, and while a tbi is different from a carb, a throttle cable is a throttle cable. Mine is currently and was before looped around too. I took the cable off the throttle body and it seemed to move just fine, and I had check the throttle body itself and the pedal, and both seem good as well. So I figured, what the hell, and spent the money on a new one and voila... pedal feels just like my Blazer with the tbi does. In other words exactly like it should be and not hard.
