I think the trim tool is for pop-on trim. I don't have any pictures, but it uses the sheetmetal nuts. On the trim side, there is a football (kind of) piece that holds the screw side on the back.

If nobody has pictures handy, I'll take some when I go home at lunch and post up. To get it off clean, I loosened all the nuts but left them on until I had them all loose, then took it off as one piece.

Mine is pretty banged up, I am making custom trim for mine.

<edit> Not sure how to get to the rear cab trim, I could get to the back side of all mine.
