Re: Bags over axle
well, i got my axle brackets in today, and plan on tacking them in tomorrow. i was wondering what size steel should the top plates be? i have some scrap 3/16" i believe, laying around my in laws. would this be thick enough or am i gonna have to find some 1/4"? i was going to weld in the 3/16" plates and then weld another crossmember across them on the inside of the notches to help support the bag plates.
