the XE268 is pretty tame in a 383......very mild lope, & power just up off idle. I shift mine @ 5800-6000 under full throttle. that same cam in a 350 will be a little more "rowdy", & will like about 2500 on the stall with an auto trans. If you have 3.73-4.10 gears,& a loose converter the cam will work good in a 350....i do agree that low end power will suffer a bit tho(as well as milage). Depening on gearing,& useage I would look at the XE256, or Xe262 for a 355. Good luck,crazyL
