I'm not really even concerned about classic looks, just the ability to mount it in the three-hole dash I've got without cutting. But, I'll cut it if I have to, but I dont know if that would even help.
I've also got a similar issue with my 94. I'd like to put a CD player in it, but it's got that wierd double din dash thing, then the eq over in the middle. I've looked at length and not found an install kit that applies to my particular year. They go all around it but dont address mine. I vaguely remember a friend putting a radio in an 89 and he had to put it in the center of the dash. I could do that if it had a remote, then just attach the remote to the steering wheel.. I don't really want to get too involved here, like I said I dont care about a big powerful system, in fact I'd be happy with a stock system but I'd like to be able to play CDs and my ipod. Just seems like I've lucked into two vehicles with less=popular systems to replace. I do have the ability to swap a radio and replace speakers. Least I like to think so.
