Thanks for the backup guys. Do your own homework when it comes to transmissions. That's why I put the explanation of WHY it isn't necessary when I said that you can drive without it connected. You think a TH350 would survive for over 2000 miles without the kickdown attached if it depended on it like the 700r4 does with the TV cable? Prove to me why I was able to do that then. All the kickdown does on a TH350 is open up extra valves when you "floor the throttle" to create more pressure to get the transmission to downshift. At normal throttle position, it isn't doing anything for the transmission. It is not necessary AT ALL to everyday driving operations. I know the differences between the two transmissions. End rant.
