A flow file is a desktop dyno file for the amount of air a cylinder head will flow at various levels of valve lifts. For example, the 462 head will flow 167 cfm @ .300 inches of valve lift through the intake port. The 492x heads will proably flow a tad bit better because of the 10cc larger intake port, and more flow=more power
