Thanks Guys !!! This gives me quite a lot to work with. I have decided to go with drop spindles, so OEM for those is not an option - but I really like the notion of using my local jobber for everything else.

I'll do my homework and post any other findings/issues I come across.

And of course I'll post pictures of anything I build out =]
