That thing is looking great!
If that's the height you plan on running, it's perfect. My #1 rule on any Pro Streeter I have ever built: The top lugnut on the rear wheels has to be even with the fenderlip (or lower!). It makes it a real exercise to get the wheels off, but man, does it ever look sick. The 60-66 trucks make perfect candidates because they have nice flat sides, good looking wheel openings, and headlights sit low in the grille opening which makes them look even lower.
I see in one your replies that your '69 Z/28 is in pieces. Been there, done that. They are hands-down, my favorite car. I owned one back in the '80s when I was in the Air Force. Mine was Daytona yellow w/black stripes. Every time I think about that car I get depressed. I sold it because I had orders overseas and had no place to store it. I figured that I would get to California and find another one. When I got back, I got married, and those plans fell to the wayside. Now, you have to spend 25K on one that needs a full restoration. I will find another one someday. This time, I want a Fathom Green one. I have always loved that color.

Well my 69 Z has been with me since i bought it in pieces when i was in grade 12.( and I am old now ).It's a early production Z in ralley green but not a numbers match car. I have a 302 in the machine shop right now getting built with all the fixings to make a sweet little ride. It's the 3rd time i will have built that car...i hope to get it right this time...lol...thinking maybe a TKO 5 speed but we will see. Ya i am digging the way the truck sits right now and if i down grade in tire height it would lay rocker. Just got all of air ride stuff in so will have a really good idea of the finished height in a day or so . Going to take out all of the extra sheet metal in the front and clean up the engine compartment......I hope it starts to come together this week
