I bought my heater core (AC) at AutoZone, and it didn't fit exactly like the original. It was close, but I couldn't line up one of the mounting screws - it seemed like it was a little bigger than the old one. Once it was all put back together, though, it was impossible to tell. And for $25 bucks, it was a great deal.
