I've got a push button on the left hand side of my dash next to the gauges. I pressed it when the truck was running and it killed the motor.

Does anyone have any idea what this button is suppose to be used for. I have a hard time believing that it is some kind of factory kill switch.

my truck is a 71 . i've got a factory tach in the dash.
