Those statements do conflict, however what you are talking about now could be electrical or carburetion. You need to pull a spark plug to see if you are getting spark. If so it should be carb related. Spray starting fluid into the carbureter and see if it starts. If not it could be the carb needs work or you have a bad fuel pump. WES
