I do believe that the bolts are fairly short with the clutch set up compared the flex fan/spacer. You may look into the clutch for the 4wd/rear most engine position, they are longer than the common one to my knowledge. I agree that the fan should be half in/out of the shroud, not completely uncovered, but I would not sun the spacer with the clutch. It is a lot of weight hanging really far out on the water pump... You might have to go to the Jeep fan in the shroud, get a longer fan shroud or use dual electric fans mounted on the radiator or core support. Just my .02
