I have a 366 tall deck and all the parts are interchangable except the block and intake. There are shims made so you can run an aftermarket non-tall intake I think holly makes them but you will have to get/make an adjustable distributer i made mine. I am not sure on the possible piston and rod combinations if i remember right the rods are the same but the pistons are taller and have an extra ring grove and ring.
