Are you getting vapor lock in the carburetor, or somewhere along your fuel delivery line? Yes, if fuel is boiling in the carburetor, a phenolic spacer will help. If the vapor lock issues is somewhere along your fuel line, you'll have to identify where the hot spot is and either reroute your line, install a heatshield to block the heat, or a heat sink to dissipate the heat.
