Brad, if you are looking to go auto trans, I would go 400 turbo with a Gear vendors on the back. This route will be a little more pricey than the 700r4 or the 2004r.......but not near as "finnicky". IMO, you wont notice the extra power it take to run the 400 t when you have a BB infront of it, & a good stock build on a 400 with shift kit will take plenty of guff  Personally, i like driving a stick, so i went Richmond ROD.
