Re: 1972 C-10 Stepped Headers
Kevin, if i were closer i'd build you a killer set! i built a set for my neighbor last season.
2 1/4" primaries 4" collectors. 89 mustang 601 cu in motor set back 4" it was very tight our trucks are a breeze compaired to that.
Marv, your headers turned out sweet! I'm not using adapter flanges for the 7 hole Stahl Pattern. 1 3/4" is the largest primary tube that you can use with the standard 6 bolt pattern.i did the stepped design because it's primarily a street truck and it will make better power down low without suffering on the top end from too small header tubes. Making headers are a pain in the butt and takes a lot of imagination. I was fortunate to learn from an old pro. i got a long way to go before i'm building headers.
Stahl headers i learned are a mom and pop shop, and are almost ready to retire so i got mine while the gettin was still good.
