i think that whole kit is needed...if the raw gas is already ignited by the time it gets to that spark plug in the tail pipe..it wont work ...i may be wrong but i think that kit ...pauses the ignition of the engine very quickly allowing raw gas straight to the pipe and then ignited at the tips
