Could be. This is the first time I have every seen or heard of one though. Every car I have every seen or every piece of literature I have ever read states that in 1970 every chevy vehicle (chevelle impala camaro TRUCK...)have 402's and not 396"s. I know a 1970 Chevelle is badged 396, but if you ask any enthusiast he will tell you it is actually a 402. From the info I have read on the camaro's it seem the same, but maybe not.
