Re: Completely fed up!!!
feel your frustration badblu, sorry to hear of the new problems. the unexplainable ones are the WORST! if you need the money, then probably correctly at the point to sell it. not to pee on the blanket though, it will be difficult to sell if it won't drive... so, rather than buying a new trans, it just might be worth sitting on it til you can save the $ to have it towed to a trans shop and say "make it GO and not leak..."
After you sink that into it, you can probably sell it for more than the difference you'd get for it if it wouldn't move, if that makes sense. in other ords, you could maybe hope for a zero sum game with the trans cost IF you are in fact going to sell it - in other words, get it moveable/fix the trans and sell it then - might even come out ahead, but it'll take some $ up front, unfortunately. Unless you have someone lined up that wants it as is, might be the best option. The ironic part is that you probably wouldn't sell it if the trans worked!! Ugh. But understand do not have the $$$ layhing around to fix the trans and then keep the truck I guess. I agree with Clyde, if there is any way to sit on it for a while, an obvious fix may surface - have you listed this issue on the Drivetrain forum as well?
