The truck I bought had 3" dropped springs and rode like total crap. My wife wouldn't even ride in it. I went with CPP 2" drop modular spindles and a set of stock springs (take outs off my '68) and cut half a coil off, for 1" drop. Had 3" total, same as the 3" springs where. Rides like a completely different truck. Both of us are very happy with the ride now... at least in the front. Still need to take care of the rear.
