I would use the foil based sound deadner (I used roof repair material from home depot)

we then added a/c duct insulation that has a sticky back and a foil cover, sealed all that up with silver tape.

Then added the standard insulation pad.

We used a full length and full height rubber mat so we could do the entire floor. do not have that installed yet. but it is quiet....Kieth
