Help me fix my lifted 95 Chevy truck.

I bought a 95 silverado 6 months ago that has about 4" of body lift and about 4" of suspension. I know nothing about lifted trucks, but I wanted to play in the mud.... and... anyways on to the question.

I understand how the rear is lifted with blocks under the leafs, but the front shows nothing that I can determine that is "aftermarket". The problem is that the upper A-arm (we're dealing with independent front suspension here) is bottomed out. This is fun truck, but its getting old, as it has become a daily driver and doesnt have much of a suspension at all. How can I get this back to a normal riding truck, but keep the same lift?

What is causing it to be bottomed out (or at its "max/limit" of travel)? Is it the shock?

Please help me be able to ride in my truck comfortably to work everyday.!
