If you're short on cash look for a GM six cylinder vehicle in the junk (salvage) yards and rebuild it. That's what I did. The rebuild process will give you good experience on how they work and you can get parts from any reliable dealer like NAPA, Car Quest or the internet. Also, there's a lot of good information on how to rebuild them on the net, you tube and here on this site. Used ones usually go for around $20 around here.

Some have mentioned that the Ebay ones are decent but I couldn't get myself to buy red hei's. I've seen others in specialty sites but the cost goes up dramatically.
