I am under the assumption that the headlights are starving for power. A 20 gauge wire will transfer as much voltage as a 8 gauge wire but it won't transfer raw current like and 8g. Kinda like a 1bbl carb v. a 4bbl. It'll make it go it just won't supply the utmost in power. Everyone raves about the relay upgrade so its gotta work. Im just thinking its not just adding the relays but calculating consumption and installing the correct wire size thats important.

Ok. Now that I think about it...Simply put a switch powering a relay only needs to be a small gauge to trigger the relay but a relay needs to have a larger gauge to supply the needed amerage for the work being done. DUH!! The whole reason a relay is used in the first place!!! Thanks for helpin me think out loud. Its amazing what you can figure out if you just write it down and think about it.
