Ok, now which do you want. Retro, or smooth? If your going retro, make it look like an early 427 Corvette motor. I would even consider 3 TBI's on a tri-power intake with the Corvette triangle chrome air cleaner, and some chrome valve covers with a custom made 468 emblem that looks like the crossed flag 427 emblem. That would look very retro.
If you are going to start hiding things, and smoothing stuff out, the retro theme goes out the window. Now your more art deco instead. You could puul it off, but the rest of the truck would need some of the same effect to make it work....
