Quality control aint what it used to be.Is your gasket with or without the locking strip (chrome or black)?sometimes i get gaskets a little small or a little big . 1 inch isnt that bad . set it in the sun and let it warm up for a while . we are upper 90s here so only a few minutes .also tape it to the glass and force it to shrink . or send it back and go to a glass shop and get a Precision brand gasket.if it takes the chrome or black strip just force the gasket on the pinchweld the glass will make it fit when its installed.
