The 16.5s are getting hard to find, and getting pretty expensive to obtain. I'll agree with jhkns about sears, that is where I almost bought my last set, but in reality, if you can get your hands on some 16 inch rims, you'd be way ahead.
I'll also second the statement about 16.5s being a hard tire. My old Longhorn would spin the right rear for days, even when it had the dog 300,000 mile engine in it. (Hmmm, I wonder how I spun those rod bearings? )
16s are a bit harder to find than I had thought. Esp if you don't like the silver things with the centercap held on by the plastic lug nut covers. (I hate them) I don't know what he got them off of, but another board member from Illinois just hooked me up with 4 steel wheel 16 inchers with great tread.
I gave him my 2 good 16.5s so he'd have a couple spares. All I have left is a couple bias ply tires here...great for burnouts though. heh heh heh
