Re: Throttle connection to Holley Carb?
There are sometimes a few different ways of hooking up the cables. The actual throttle cable you have looks to use a ball stud connection. The TV cable for your TH350 looking trans will go to the bottom part of the bracket. It's a smooth rod that will have an E clip or hole for a cotter pin. You will probably need the adjustable kick-down bracket so you can really dial in the downshift points. The trick to the throttle is to position the ball stud so you have the most about of travel in the cable. What I mean is if you go too close to the shaft, the throttle arc will be short and the throttle can be a little erratic. You want to use all of the cable length so all the way forward get the throttle to rest and all the way back gets full throttle. You will want play in it though so you are not prying on the primary shaft when the gas pedal is pressed. Hope this makes sense. It can take a little time to get the geometry right but it is worth it. If you closed your eye and worked the pedal on my dual 4 barrel setup, you'd think I had a single 2 barrel on it. Very smooth.
