I don't know since I've never ran a 454 with a carb. I'm sure you could get more kick out of a carb setup in general since you can simply throw more fuel in there with a good carb, but for guys with TBI who want to run TBI but juice it up a little I think it's a viable upgrade comparing the stock chip to this one.
