With a metal flake paint job your odds of even the original painter being able to color match it is slim. Stay with the stock type suspension, if my former boss thinks it can handle his 700hp bbc. I think it will be fine for you too. We just added the disc brakes and new grease fittings to the leaves, the only other thing was to mount a late model power steering unit.
