i would probably just give two coats of epoxy primer, when i was doing yhe frame on my 72 4x4 i used it in black, it looked just like chassie black and the paint rep said anything i put on top of it would be the weak link that the epoxy would last longer than i would. and your patch panels are nice you definetly have some metal working skills
