I suspect it is leaking in around the gasket and ends up in the corner of the dash on the inside. There is a small drain hole in the dash there and if it runs through the drain hole it will run down the side of the glove box liner and right into the glove box via the seam where the liner is put together. Whenever I have a liner out or put a new one in I seal that seam with sealer, then if it does happen to leak it doesn't fill the glove box with water.
