One good thing about a good paying steady job is I always have plenty of credit available anytime. It's nice to be able to lay your hands on a bunch of green when you need it. It's pretty hard to get credit lines without a steady job though. Sorry, as always, I'm of little help. I will say one thing. Your parents may not be as tough about it if you come up with a plan to pay them back that is specific. I once needed to borrow money from my mother. She lent it to me without asking much because she knew how hard it was for me to ask.
